Denso Manipulators

The Space Robotics Laboratory currently utilizes two Denso robot arms in the Introduction to Robotics I and Robotics II classes. The example shown below is a VP-6242G 6-axis robot arm with 420 mm reach and 2.5 kg payload. The RC7M high-performance controller drives the robot that is programmed offline using Denso's new Wincaps III software package on eight dedicated workstations. All undergraduate students get complete hands on experience using all of the hardware in the Laboratory.

The laboratory also has a SCARA type Denso HS-45452G 4-axis robot arm with 450 mm reach and 5 kg payload.
